#2022 Temperature Sensor Recall Information

JACUZZI SPAS RECALLS - JACUZZI BRAND HOT TUBS DUE TO INJURY AND THERMAL BURN HAZARDS
RECALL SUMMARY:
Name of Product: Jacuzzi® Hot Tubs
Hazard: The temperature sensor can relay incorrect water temperatures, causing the water to be hotter than the set temperature, posing injury (heat stroke) and thermal burn hazards.
Affected spas contain other inbuilt mechanisms to test temperature and which control the maximum temperature which the spa water can reach. Those inbuilt mechanisms are not affected by the issue that is the subject of this recall action.
Remedy: Repair - Consumers should use an accurate external thermometer to confirm the water temperature to be no higher than 40 degrees C, prior to entering the hot tub to prevent injuries and burns. Consumers should not enter the recalled hot tubs if the external thermometer temperature reads higher than 40 degrees.
Spa World Australia Pty Ltd will replace the current temperature sensor with a new temperature sensor on site at no cost to the consumer.

Incidents/Injuries: Globally, 185 reports of inaccurate temperature readings have been recieved. No injuries have been reported.

Description: This recall involves Jacuzzi J-200, J-300, J-400, and J-500 collection hot tubs manufactured between July 29, 2021, and Feb 9, 2022. The model number and serial number are engraved into a silver plate in the equipment bay of the hot tub.
To identify hot tubs with the recalled sensor, the serial number can be entered into the lookup field below. The location of the model number and serial number are inside the equipment bay of the hot tub.
